NAOWA Climax NADCEL 2022 In Grand Style

President NAOWA, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya, represented  by her Deputy,Mrs Stella Omozoje,in the spirit of marking the 159th years of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2022, has encouraged members of Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) to always support their spouses as they strive to defend the territorial integrity of the  nation. she made this statement during the NADCEL 2022 lecture organised for NAOWA members at the Army Headquarters Command Officers Mess 1 with the theme  “Nurturing NAOWA through Team Building and Mentorship”,  

The Special Guest at the event  the  National President DEPOWA was  represented by Mrs Safiya Nagenu, applauded  the efforts of NAOWA in supporting the Nigerian Army Day Celebration which has been a week long  event and  climaxing with a seminar amidst array of activities on going  by NAOWA at all Army formations. She further mentioned that the theme for the seminar is  apt and timely considering the importance of team work as mothers and care givers in  actualizing  a good home  and having a better society.

Furthermore Mrs Nagenu  applauded the President NAOWA for the events  in celebrating  NADCEL 2022  and  appreciated  the NA  personnel both serving and retired and  those who have paid the supreme price.

Earlier in her Remarks, The President NAOWA, Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya,  represented by the Deputy President NAOWA, Mrs Stella Omozoje, said NAOWA is delighted to have members of sister services at the event.

Mrs  Stella Omozoje added  that the seminar serves as an avenue for bonding and enlightenment for NAOWA in  impacting the society positively in various stages of leadership.

The Guest  Speaker, Mrs Nafisah Mohammad Buba   spoke on reasons for nurturing and how  to be a mentor as a woman and care giver.

Another Speaker, Mrs Olanike Omale,  also spoke extensively on the importance of team building and human relations.

In a related development and in support of the NADCEL 2022, the NAOWA members  participated in an  awareness walk and held a novelty football match between the NAOWA female team of Guards Brigade and  Army Headquarters Garrison NAOWA team at the Aguyi Ironsi Cantonment and the Army Headquarters Garrison NAOWA team emerged winners. Present at the event  were the  representatives  of President DEPOWA, Mrs Safiya Nagenu, NOWA President,Juweira SS Garba, NAFOWA Mrs Motunrayo Durotaye, POWA Mrs Maryam Yusuf, 37RC Queens, wives of PSO’s,  sister services, and NAOWA members.

Highpoint of the events were quiz, interactive sessions, presentation of medals, souvenirs ,trophy and also group photographs.
